Technical requirements for compressed air energy storage system used for electrical energy storage
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for the system performance of compressed air energy storage system used for electrical energy storage, compressed energy storage system, air storage system, heat storage and exchange system, expansion energy releasing system, electrical system, instrument and control system, describes the test methods for system performance, and specifies the system classification requirements.
This document is applicable to the compressed air energy storage system with rated discharge power of 1MW and rated discharge energy of 2MW·h and above. It can be used as reference for the compressed air energy storage system with other power and energy.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in DL/T 2528-2022 and the following apply.
3.1
compressed air energy storage system; CAESS
a combination of equipment for storing and releasing electric energy through compression and expansion of air medium

air storage system
pressure vessel or geological space for inflating, storing and deflating compressed air and corresponding equipment combination

air expander
equipment that convert thermodynamic energy of air into mechanical energy by air expansion
3.4
compressed energy storage process
process of using electric energy to drive a compressor to obtain high-pressure air, thus storing energy
3.5
expansion energy releasing process
process of using the high-pressure air stored in the air storage system to drive the air expander to drive the generator to generate electricity
4 General requirements
4.1 The compressed air energy storage system shall have one or more application functions such as system peak shaving, frequency modulation, emergency power support, voltage control, plan curve tracking, smooth power output, voltage sag support and standby power supply.
4.2 The compressed air energy storage system shall be able to receive and execute remote or local power control instructions, and the grid-connected performance shall meet the relevant requirements of GB 38755 and GB/T 31464.
4.3 The start-stop times of compressed air energy storage system shall be no less than 9,000 times and the service life shall be no less than 30 years.
4.4 The performance test of compressed air energy storage system shall be completed within one year after grid-connected power generation operation.
