1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, level and labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of burglary-resistant mechanical locks.
This standard is applicable to core-insert type, externally-mounted type and coded type burglary-resistant mechanical locks applied for burglary resistant safety door. Burglary-resistant mechanical locks used for the burglary resistant safe (box) may be applied with partial reference to this standard.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

burglary-resistant mechanical lock
it refers to the mechanical lock that opening/closing of lockset is controlled via mechanical drive and that shall be drilling resistant, sawing resistant, prying resistant, pulling resistant, striking resistant and professional opening resistant
3.2
drilling resistant
it refers to the capacity of the lockset that can resist being opened with toggle tools by cutting with a portable electronic drill
3.3
sawing resistant
it refers to the capacity that can resist the sawing of main bolt (pin) by an ordinary hand-held steel saw to disable its action
3.4
prying resistant
it refers to the capacity of the lockset to resist being pried with a crowbar under the lock state
3.5
pulling resistant
it refers to the capacity of the lockset to resist being drawn by drawing tool and being followed with follower tool under the lock state
3.6
striking resistant
it refers to the capacity of the lockset to resist being struck by stamping tool and being opened with follower tool under lock state
3.7
professional opening resistant
it refers to the capacity of the lockset to resist being opened in a non-destructive way by professionals with special tool and operating methods
