3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 15089 and the following apply.
3.1
air cleaner for bus
device that fixed in the bus and used to remove particulate matters, gaseous pollutants, microorganisms, etc. in the air
3.2
rated air flow
Q
air volume treated by the air cleaner per unit time under the specified state
Note: It is expressed in m3/h.
3.3
rated power
input power of air cleaner working at rated air flow and wind pressure in initial state
[Source: GB/T 34012-2017, 3.10]
3.4
target pollutant
specific air pollutants with clear composition, which are mainly including particulate matters, gaseous pollutants and microorganisms
[Source: GB/T 18801-2022, 3.2, modified]
3.5
clean air delivery rate
Qj
a parameter of a air cleaner’s cleaning capacity against the target pollutants (particulate matters and gaseous pollutants) under the specified test conditions, indicating the rate of the air cleaner to provide clean air
Note: It is expressed in m3/h.
[Source: GB/T 18801-2022, 3.8, modified]
3.6
cleaning energy efficiency
η
clean air delivery rate generated by the air cleaner in the rated mode per unit power consumption
Note: It is expressed in cubic meters per watt-hour [m3/(W·h)].
[Source: GB/T 18801-2022, 3.10, modified]
3.7
test chamber
device, with a limited confined space and the standard test conditions, for determining the capacity of the air cleaner to remove target pollutants in the air
[Source: GB/T 18801-2022, 3.4, modified]
3.8
removing rate
R
ratio of the difference between the initial concentration of the target contaminant and the concentration after the specified time of operation of the cleaner to the initial concentration (minus the effect of natural decay) after the specified time of operation of the cleaner under specified conditions
3.9
total decay
reduction of concentration of the target pollutants in the air in a specified space under the specified conditions due to combined action of natural decay and cleaning operation
Note: Natural decay refers to the reduction of concentration of the target pollutants in the air in a specified space under the specified conditions due to non-human factors such as settlement, agglomeration, surface deposition, chemical reaction and air exchange.
