1 Scope
This part of JB/T 5000 specifies technical requirements, testing method and drawing marking of steel welding parts.
This part is applicable to the steel welding parts welded by methods such as shielded metal arc welding, gas shielded welding and submerged-arc welding.
Where no special requirements are stated in the product drawing, technical document or technical specifications for procurement, all shall meet those specified in this part.

3 General Requirements
3.1 The manufacturing of welding (weldment) shall meet the requirements of design drawing, process document and this Part.
3.2 The steel type, specification and dimension of the materials (steel plate, section steel and steel pipe etc.) used to manufacture welding shall meet the requirements of design drawing, and material substitution shall be transacted with substitution sheet in accordance with relevant provisions.
3.3 The materials, welding materials (welding rod, welding wire, welding flux, shielding gas etc.) used to manufacture welding entering factory, they may enter the storehouse after being accepted by the quality control division according to the "material pre-working acceptance regulations" of the factory based on the certificate of compliance provided by the supplier, as well as corresponding national (professional) standard and ordering requirements.
