GB/T 9766 consists of six parts under the general title of "Test Method for Tyre Valves":
— Part 1: Test Method for Clamp-in Valves;
— Part 2: Rubber Base Valves Test Methods;
— Part 3: Snap-in Valves — Test Methods;
— Part 4: Test Method for Clamp-in Tubeless Valves;
— Part 5: Test Methods for Tyre Valves for Large Core Chamber;
— Part 6: Test Method for Core.
This part is Part 6 of GB/T 9766, which is corresponding to ISO 14960:2004 "Tubeless Tyres — Valves and Components — Test Methods" (English edition). This standard is not equivalent to 14960:2004. Simultaneously, makes reference to Japanese Industrial Standard JIS D 4211:1994 "Tire Valve Cores for Automobiles".
This part supersedes GB/T 9767-2002 "Test Method for Tyre Valve Core".
Compared with GB/T 9767-2002, the main changes in this part are as follows:
— "Terms and Definitions" was added (Chapter 3 in this edition);
— Pressure for tightness test of valve core types H01 and H02 at room temperature was modified (6.1.1 in this edition);
— Observing time of tightness test was modified (5.1 in the previous edition, Chapter 6 in this edition);
— Series specifications for test of valve core products were added (6.2 and 6.3 in this edition);
— Test method for valve core type H04C was added (6.3 in this edition);
— Measurement for core cap location of valve core types H01 and H02 was added (Chapter 9 in this edition);
— Shedding test for core sealing rings of valve core types H01 and H02 was added (Chapter 10 in this edition).
This part was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association.
This part is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee 19 on Tyres and Rims of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 19).

Test Method for Tyre Valve —
Part 6: Test Method for Core
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 9766 specifies terms and definitions, test set-up, installation, tightness test, opening pressure test, core cap and core adhesion force test, core cap location measurement and core sealing ring shedding test for the test of tyre valve cores (hereinafter referred to as "valve cores").
This part is applicable to the tests of valve cores used for tyre valves of passenger cars, motor trucks, industrial vehicles, construction machinery, tractors, agricultural and forestry machinery, motorcycles, electromobiles and cycles.
This part is inapplicable to the tests of valve cores for aircraft tires.
