1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification and naming, technical requirements, test method, quality assessment procedures and marking, packaging, transportation and storage for read-write equipment of the electronic identification of motor vehicles.
This standard is applicable to the design, production, test and use of read-write equipment of the electronic identification of motor vehicles.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 35789.1-2017 and the following apply.

electronic device for reading or writing data on electronic identification of motor vehicles based on ultrahigh-frequency radiofrequency identification technology, which is composed of read-write unit, antenna unit, feeder unit etc.

component in read-write equipment for realizing data reading or writing function

component in read-write equipment for radiating the electrical output signal of read-write unit out in the form of electromagnetic wave or converting the electromagnetic wave into electric input signal of read-write unit

cable in read-write equipment for connecting read-write unit and antenna unit

4 Classification and Naming
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 Based on installation mode
Read-write equipment is classified into stationary, handheld and desktop equipment based on installation mode. Stationary read-write equipment is classified into split and integrated read-write equipment.
4.1.2 Based on temperature-resistance grade
Read-write equipment is classified into Classes A, B, C and D based on temperature-resistance grade; where, the applicable environment temperature range for Classes A, B, C and D are -40℃~65℃, -20℃~75℃, -10℃~50℃ and -40℃~75℃ respectively.
4.1.3 Based on identified object speed
Read-write equipment is classified into low-speed read-write equipment (Category I) and high-speed read-write equipment (Category II) based on the running speed of identified motor vehicles, Category I is the stationary, desktop and handheld read-write equipment for identifying motor vehicle with running speed less than or equal to 80km/h; Category II is the stationary read-write equipment for identifying motor vehicle with running speed less than or equal to 200km/h.
4.1.4 Based on service environment
Read-write equipment is classified into indoor read-write equipment and outdoor read-write equipment based on service environment.
4.2 Naming
4.2.1 Model
The model of read-write equipment shall be composed of installation mode, temperature-resistance grade, identified object speed, applicable environment, enterprise-specified code, etc., and see Figure 1 for the naming rules.
