Small-scale play facilities - Three-dimensional climbing net
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, operation instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of three-dimensional climbing net (a kind of small-scale play facility).
This standard is applicable to three-dimensional climbing net (a kind of small-scale play facility; hereinafter referred to as “climbing net”) used by children aged 3 to 14 years old for amusement.
This standard is not applicable to the climbing net for outward-bound sports.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 28622 and GB/T 20306 as well as the following apply.
3.1
three-dimensional climbing net
climbing facility made of flexible materials (e.g., ropes and chains) and with three-dimensional geometry, which is for amusement by players, as shown in Figure 1
3.2
pyramidal climbing net
climbing net with a closed space structure formed in the support of multiple rods, as shown in Figure 1a)
3.3
single-pole climbing net
climbing net of which the center point is supported by a single pole and the bottom periphery is fixed on the ground, as shown in Figure 1b)
3.4
frame style climbing net
climbing net supported by upright poles around and formed by multi-layer plane net structure, as shown in Figure 1c)

4 Technical requirements
4.1 Material Requirements
4.1.1 The material selection shall meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 34272-2017.
4.1.2 The limit of harmful substances in material in direct c ontact with user shall meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 34272-2017.
4.1.3 After the flame resistance of textile materials is tested according to 5.2.2, the afterflame time and afterglow time in longitudinal and transverse directions shall not be longer than 4s.
4.1.4 Other material shall be inspected according to 5.2.3, and the diameter of burned spot left on the surface of the material shall not be greater than 50mm.
4.2 Appearance and structure
4.2.1 The appearance and structure shall meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 34272-2017.
4.2.2 The climbing net is classified into pyramidal climbing net, single-pole climbing net and frame style climbing net typically, and the height shall:
——not be greater than 6.5m for pyramidal climbing net;
——not be greater than 15m for single-pole climbing net;
——not be greater than 7m for frame style climbing net.
4.2.3 The cross-sectional dimension of the supporting part for holding shall be not less than 16mm and not greater than 40mm in any direction.
4.2.4 Rope joint, joint between ropes, and other types of joints shall be firmly assembled to prevent automatic loosening, and they shall be disassembled only by use of a tool.
4.2.5 Rope fasteners for the climbing net shall meet the following requirements:
——the radius of the outer edge and sharp corner of pressed aluminum alloy rope fasteners shall not be less than 3.0mm;
——the diameter of stainless steel rope fastener shall not be less than 6mm, after being pressed, 8mm test finger shall not be able to enter the opening;
——the plastic rope fastener shall not have any danger caused by material deformation during its safe service life.
4.2.6 The processing, connection and assembly of important parts shall meet the relevant requirements of GB 8408.
4.2.7 The secondary safety device shall be provided outside the main guy rope fixing structure at the bottom of the single-pole climbing net (see Figure 2).
