3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
iron and steel slag composite materials
material compounded with steel slag and granulated blast furnace slag as main raw materials
Note: They include steel slag composite materials and iron and steel slag cementitious materials.
3.2
steel slag composite materials
material composed of steel slag with a particle size of less than 4.75 mm and a composite agent, wherein the composite agent is finely ground from granulated blast furnace slag, gypsum, and Portland cement clinker in a certain proportion
3.3
iron and steel slag cementitious materials
hydraulic cementitious material made from steel slag, granulated blast furnace slag, and gypsum as raw materials, ground and processed in a certain proportion
4 Components and materials
4.1 Components
4.1.1 Steel slag composite materials
The composition of steel slag and composite agent in the steel slag composite material is about 1.5:1, where the composite agent includes 70% to 95% (mass fraction) of granulated blast furnace slag, 0% to 5% (mass fraction) of gypsum, and 5% to 25% (mass fraction) of Portland cement clinker.
4.1.2 Iron and steel slag cementitious materials
The mass fractions of steel slag, granulated blast furnace slag, and gypsum in the iron and steel slag cementitious material are 20% to 50%, 30% to 65%, and 10% to 20% respectively.
4.2 Materials
4.2.1 Steel slag
The steel slag shall meet the requirements of YB/T 022.
4.2.2 Granulated blast furnace slag
The granulated blast furnace slag shall meet the requirements of GB/T 203, and the quality fraction of glass shall not be less than 85%.
