1 Scope
This standard specifies the dimension, shape, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging mark and quality certificate of heat-resistant steel bars (a generic term for round steel, square steel, flat steel and hexagonal steel).
This standard is applicable to hot-rolled and forged steel bars with dimension (diameter, side length, thickness or opposite side distance; hereinafter referred to as dimension) less than or equal to 250mm, or cold-worked steel bars with dimension less than or equal to 120mm. Hot-rolled and forged steel bars with dimension greater than 250mm and cold-worked steel bars with dimension greater than 120mm may be supplied based on the agreement of both the supplier and the purchaser.
