This Part of GB 5768 specifies the general requirements such as classification, color, form, character, dimension and pattern as well as the design, manufacture, arrangement and construction requirements for the road traffic signs.
This Part is applicable to the fabrication, testing and arrangement of traffic signs for highways, urban roads, places that can be accessed by social motor vehicles even though within the jurisdictional scope of units, and places for the public to passing through such as squares and public parking lots. The traffic signs arranged for other places accessed by motor vehicles and parking lots may be applied by reference.
