This standard specifies the technical requirements of steel penstocks for hydroelectric and hydraulic engineering.
This standard is applicable to the manufacture, installation and acceptance of steel penstocks for large- and medium-scale hydroelectric junction engineering, and small-scale hydroelectric junction engineering may reference this standard in combination of the physical circumstances.
This standard is also applicable to the manufacture, installation and acceptance of steel lining for scouring sluice and discharge opening (hole).
