3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 21465 as well as the following apply.
3.1
maximum allowable working pressure; MAWP
maximum allowable working pressure of the pressure-bearing components of the valve at 20℃
Note: It is the minimum value among the maximum allowable working pressures of all pressure-bearing components of the valve
3.2
rated minimum temperature
minimum service temperature of the valve determined by the valve manufacturer
3.3
body/bonnet extension
proper extension between the body and the bonnet connecting end or at the bonnet to prevent the stem packing and valve operating mechanism function from being damaged or impaired by the temperature influence of the cryogenic medium in the body
3.4
gas column
heat-insulated gas column formed by cryogenic liquid medium in body/bonnet extension
3.5
cryogenic treatment
treatment process as following: Immerse the parts in liquid nitrogen for cooling until their temperature is stable at -196℃, then maintain such temperature for 2h~4h according to the thickness of the parts, and then take them out to return to room temperature naturally
3.6
heat insulation
heat insulation layer set outside the cryogenic valve to prevent the heat exchange between the cryogenic medium and the outside and avoid two-phase flow in the body
3.7
vacuum jacket
heat insulation measure of arranging a metal jacket outside the cryogenic valve and vacuumizing the space between the outer wall of valve and the inner wall of jacket to limit the heat exchange between the cryogenic medium and the outside
