1 Scope
This standard specifies the types and dimensions, technical requirements, inspection, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of center plate on upper/lower plane (hereinafter referred to as center plate) for railway rolling stock.
This standard is applicable to the manufacture and inspection of forged steel and cast steel center plate for railway rolling stock.

3 Types and Dimensions
3.1 The types and dimensions of center plate for passenger car shall meet the requirements of the product drawings.
3.2 See Figure 1 for the types and dimensions of upper center plate for freight car, see Figure 2 for the types and dimensions of lower center plate for freight car, and other or special requirements shall be specified in the product drawings.
