1 Scope
This specification specifies the basic requirements for the structural design, loads and seismic actions, structural design, subgrade and foundation, etc. of the steel frames supporting coolers and exchangers in petrochemical industry.
This specification is applicable to the design of steel frames supporting coolers, exchangers (hereinafter referred to as “cooling and heat-exchanging equipment”) and horizontal vessels, as well as that of steel frames with air coolers (hereinafter referred to as “air coolers”) on the top floor. This specification is not applicable to the design of steel frames with air coolers on the top of the pipe gallery.
