Note: For the light source of the single lamp, it shall meet the requirements of minimum luminous intensity if any one light source has failed. If all the light sources are on, the maximum luminous intensity of a single lamp not marked with "D" may be greater than the specified value of the single lamp, but not greater than the specified value of the double lamp combination.
3.2.2 Outside the reference axis and within the spatial light spreading angle shown in Figure 1, the luminous intensity of the high-mount stop lamp shall meet the following requirements:
3.2.2.1 In each measuring direction, the luminous intensity shall not be less than the product of its percentage in the measuring direction and the minimum luminous intensity value specified in Table 1.
3.2.2.2 The luminous intensity in any direction of visible light shall not exceed the maximum value specified in Table 1.
3.3 The light color of the high-mount stop lamp is red, and its chromatic characteristics shall meet the requirements of GB 4785.
3.4 The projected area of the illuminating surface of the high-mount stop lamp on the reference axis plane perpendicular to the lamp shall not be less than 2,900 mm2, and its height shall not be less than 20mm.
3.5 The environmental test of the high-mount stop lamp shall be carried out in accordance with requirements of GB 10485 or determined by the negotiation between the manufacturer and the user.
3.6 For the high-mount stop lamp, the appearance of its plastic parts shall be free from obvious scratches; the surfaces of its lamp lens shall be bright, well transparent, and free from obvious bubbles.

4 Test method
4.1 The photoelectric parameter test of the filaments bulb is carried out according to the requirements of GB 15766.1.
4.2 Test for photometric characteristics
4.2.1 The test shall be carried out in a dark room, and the dark room, devices and equipment shall meet the requirements of GB 4599.
4.2.2 The distance measured by luminous intensity shall conform to the law that the illumination is inversely proportional to the square of the distance.
4.2.3 When using measuring equipment, the beam angle between the receiver aperture and the reference center of the lamp shall be within a range of 10 'and 1°.
4.2.4 For the high-mount stop lamp of filament bulb, it shall use the corresponding standard bulb to conduct measurement of photometric characteristics with the reference luminous flux specified in GB 15766.1; for the high-mount stop lamp of light source without replacement of bulb, it shall be measured under the voltage specified by the manufacturer or test voltage (13.5V or 28V).
4.2.5 For the light distribution measurement of high-mount stop lamps of filament bulb with multiple light sources, if the lamp is equipped with the bulb of mass and in case of 13.5V or 28.0V, its luminous intensity shall be between the minimum or maximum valued specified in this standard, and shall be corrected according to the luminous flux deviation of the selected-type bulb; or, the standard bulb may be put in each bulb position, in turn, and then measured and accumulated under specified reference luminous flux.
4.3 Test for light color shall meet those specified in GB 4785. For the high-mount stop lamp of filaments bulb, the bulb color temperature shall be 2 856 K(A light source). For high-mount stop lamps with LED solid light sources, the measurement of light color shall be carried out under the voltage specified by the manufacturer or the test voltage.
4.4 The projected area and height are measured with a ruler.
4.5 The environmental test method of the high-mount stop lamp shall be the method specified in GB 10485 or determined by the negotiation between the manufacturer and the user.
4.7 The appearance shall be inspected visually.
5 Inspection rules
5.1 Determination of different types of the high-mount stop lamp
The high-mount stop lamps are considered to be different types if they differ in the following aspects;
5.1.1 Name and trade mark of products
5.1.2 Characteristics of optical system
5.1.3 Type of bulb of light source or filaments bulb
5.1.4 Structure and shape of products
5.2 The inspection of high-mount stop lamp is classified into the type inspection and conformance inspection of product.
5.3 Type inspection
5.3.1 The manufacturer provides 2 samples and drawings that indicate product type, geometric position reference axis and reference center for installation on vehicles.
5.3.2 It shall be carried out by the test method specified in Clause 4, and each sample shall meet the requirements of Sub-clauses 3.1~3.4.
5.4 Product conformity inspection
5.4.1 For the products that have passed the type inspection, samples will be sampled at random from the mass production products to determine the conformity of the products, and the sampling method will be specified separately.
5.4.2 The samples sampled at random shall meet those specified in Sub-clauses 3.2~3.4.
5.4.3 For the measurement of photometric characteristic, the minimum value of luminous intensity in each specified measuring direction shall not be lower than 80% of the minimum value specified in Sub-clause 3.2
