This standard replaces NB/T 33001-2010 Specification for electric vehicle off-board conductive charger. In addition to a number of editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to NB/T 33001-2010:
——“7 Inspection rules” and “8 Test methods” given in NB/T 33008.1 are deleted;
——“5 Classification of chargers” is added to this standard for classifying chargers from different angles;
——“8 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage” of this new standard is corresponding to “9 Marking” of the original one;
——“3 Terms and definitions” of this standard is the modification to the original “3 Terms and definitions” and 19 new terms and definitions are added;
——“4 Basic constitution” of this standard is the modification to the original “4 Basic constitution” and block diagram for constitution principle is added;
——“6 Functional requirements” of this standard makes modification to “communication function”, “man-machine interaction function”, “input function” and “metering function” in the original “5 Functional requirements”; “category of applicable battery”, “charging set mode” and “low-voltage auxiliary power supply” in the original standard are deleted; “insulation testing function”, “short-circuit testing function for DC output circuit”, “vehicle plug locking function”, “precharge function”, “emergency stop function” and “protection function” are added;

——In “8 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage”, the contents of marking are modified and added and requirements for packaging, transportation and storage are added.

Specification for electric vehicle off-board conductive charger
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic constitution, classification, functional requirements, technical requirements as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of electric vehicle off-board conductive charger (hereinafter referred to as charger).
It is applicable to the electric vehicle off-board charger by the way of conductive charge, with the maximum rated voltage of the power supply being 1 000V AC or 1 500V DC and the maximum rated output voltage being 1 500V DC.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 18487.1-2015, GB/T 19596-2017 and GB/T 29317 as well as the following ones apply.

conductive charge
approach to charging storage battery by the way of electrical conduction

off-board charger
a special device, fixedly connected to AC or DC power supply and converting the electric energy to the direct current, that charges the power storage battery of electric vehicle by the way of conduction

charging terminal
a part of the off-board conductive charger that the charging operator needs to face and operate when an electric vehicle is charged; it is generally composed of charging cable, vehicle plug, and human-machine interface, and may also include components for metering, communication, control and the like

split type charger
a charger having the power conversion unit structurally separated from the charging terminal and connected to the terminal by a cable
3.5
integral charger
a charger having the power conversion unit, the charging terminal and other components placed in a cabinet (box), and integrated on the structure

dynamic power allocation
the charger dynamically adjusts the maximum output power of each vehicle plug according to the predetermined power distribution control strategy based on the vehicle charging demand, its own load state and the superior monitoring and control command

multiple interface charger

electrical circuit through which the charging current flows when the electric vehicle is charged with a charger. Including switching devices and functional components connected to the DC output of the charger, as well as charging cables, vehicle plugs, vehicle sockets, and components between the vehicle socket and the DC contactor within the vehicle

process that the charger raises the output voltage to the battery terminal voltage of the vehicle minus 1V~10V after the vehicle-side DC contactor is closed and before the charger-side DC contactor is closed during the charging activation process of the charger for the electric vehicle

4 Basic constitution
The basic components of the charger include power supply input, power conversion unit, output switch unit, charging cable and vehicle plug, control power supply, charge control unit, human-machine interaction unit, as well as functional units such as the metering unit.
