1 Scope
This Standard specifies design rules, functional requirements, installation and test requirements for cranes at nuclear power plants (hereinafter referred to as cranes).
This Standard is applicable to cranes hoisting critical load within PWR nuclear power plant, e.g. polar cranes of reactor plant (hereinafter referred to as polar cranes) as well as cranes with spent fuel container, cranes with water pool of spent fuel and auxiliary crane of fuel plant. Cranes in other types of nuclear power plant may also be for reference.
