This standard specifies high-speed tool steels in terms of ordering information, classification, dimension, shape and allowance, specifications, test method, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate.
This standard is applicable to high-speed tool steels bars (a generic term for round steel, square steel, flat steel and hexagonal steel, hereinafter referred to as steel bars) which are hot rolled, forged and cold drawn with a sectional dimension (diameter, side length, thickness or opposite side distance) less than or equal to 250 mm, wire rod and bright steel bars; This standard is applicable to ingot and billet for the chemical composition.
