This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard was proposed by the China National Textile and Apparel Council.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Textiles of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 209).
Textiles - Quantitative chemical analysis - Mixtures of elastane and certain other fibers
1 Scope
This standard specifies the chemical analysis method for determining the fiber content in mixtures of elastane (polyurethane elastic fiber) and other fibers.
This standard is applicable to the binary mixture of elastane and cellulose fiber (cotton, jute, viscose fiber, cuprammonium fiber, modal fiber, lyocell fiber), animal fiber (silk, wool and other animal fibers), polyamide fiber, polyvinyl alcohol fiber, polyester fiber, polypropylene fiber, polyacrylonitrile fiber, acetate fiber or triacetate fiber.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 2910.1 Textiles - Quantitative chemical analysis - Part 1: General principles of testing
GB/T 9994 Conventional moisture regains of textile materials
3 Instruments
3.1 The instruments specified in GB/T 2910.1 and this standard are applied.
3.2 Conical flask: 250 mL with glass stopper.
3.3 Thermostatic bath: temperature controllable from 10°C to 80°C, and precision of ± 2°C.
3.4 Water bath oscillator: oscillation frequency adjustable from 50 times/min to 100 times/min, temperature adjustable from 10°C to 80°C, and accuracy of ± 2°C.
3.5 Horizontal oscillator: with oscillation frequency adjustable from 50 times/min to 100 times/min.
3.6 Filter screen: stainless steel filter screen with 150 mesh (aperture 0.1 mm), 10 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height, or other filter screens with equivalent effect.
4 General principles for tests
4.1 Test reagents, specimen preparation and test procedures shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 2910.1 and this standard.
4.2 Sample pretreatment is not required if it is judged that the samples that have not been pretreated will not affect the test results.
4.3 For samples with elastane residue after dissolution, the specimen may not be cut.
4.4 For samples with elastane residue after dissolution, an applicable filter screen may be used instead of a sintered-glass filter crucible.
4.5 Refer to GB/T 9994 for the conventional moisture regains of fibers.
