General technical requirements for electrochemical energy storage system in power system
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for the environmental conditions for operating and storage, power control, operational adaptability, energy conversion efficiency, fault crossing, primary frequency regulation, inertia response, black start, and power quality of the electrochemical energy storage system in power system, as well as the technical requirements for energy storage equipment such as lithium-ion batteries, flow batteries, lead-acid/lead carbon batteries, water electrolysis hydrogen/fuel cells, battery management systems, power conversion systems, monitoring systems, protection, metering, and auxiliary systems.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacturing, test, detection, operation, maintenance and repair of electrochemical energy storage systems in power systems using lithium-ion batteries, flow batteries, lead-acid/lead carbon batteries, sodium ion batteries, and water electrolysis hydrogen/fuel cells as energy storage carriers.

4 Environmental conditions
4.1 Basic requirements
The electrochemical energy storage system shall be able to be operated normally under the following conditions:
a) Ambient temperature: -20°C to 50°C.
b) Relative humidity: ≤ 90%, non-condensing.
c) Altitude: ≤ 2,000m; when the altitude is greater than 2,000m, the decrease in dielectric strength, the weakening of device breaking capacity and air cooling effect shall be considered.
d) The electrochemical energy storage system applied in marine climate shall meet the corrosion resistance requirements.
