5 Overview
As shown in Figure 1, the WLAN system is based on the existing general cabling system. The WLAN system involved in this standard is the part in the solid frame in Figure 1. This system consists of three equipment types, i.e., STA, AP and ASU. The functional requirements of such equipment are given in GB 15629.11 series. This standard mainly aims at proposing the testing methods for STA, AP and ASU specific to the functional requirements given in the above standards. In addition, it specifies the engineering testing method of WLAN system by combining with the specific system requirements.

Figure 1 Composition of WLAN System
The engineering testing of WLAN system shall be based on the engineering design and acceptance requirements of information network system and WLAN system in GB 50339. See Clause 6 for specific requirements. The engineering testing of WLAN system will affect the operation and maintenance of WLAN. See Annex A for the content summary of WLAN design and planning, and Annex B for that of WLAN operation and maintenance.
The WLAN equipment is tested on the basis of GB 15629.11 series, see Clause 7 for specific requirements. The equipment testing method specified in Clause 7 is also applicable to the interoperability testing of WLAN equipment (see Annex C) and the testing of WLAN system equipment in specific industrial applications (see Annex D).
Note: In this standard, the working mode of WLAN equipment meeting the security requirements of GB 15629.11-2003/XG1-2006 at higher speed is referred to as the enhanced mode, and the testing method of enhanced mode is given. Equipment in enhanced mode includes equipment complying with IEEE Std P802.11n-2009 and using WAPI security mechanism, and equipment complying with IEEE Std P802.11ac and using WAPI security mechanism.
6 Engineering Testing of WLAN System

c) the instruments and tools used for testing shall pass the corresponding measurement and calibration;
d) the wireless AP cabling system in the building shall comply with the relevant cabling standards;
e) the sampled AP and STA shall be distributed throughout the network as far as possible;
