Test method for bunk bed structure safety
1 Scope
This document describes the conditions, equipment, steps and test report of the test of bunk bed structure safety.
This document is applicable to well-installed beds with bed surface height ≥ 600 mm from the ground.
The loads and forces used in the strength and durability tests specified in this document are applicable to beds with an interior length greater than 1,400 mm and a width less than or equal to 1,200 mm.
This document is not applicable to furniture (such as cabinet racks, tables, chairs and stools) below the bed surface with a height ≥ 600 mm from the ground.

4 General test conditions
4.1 Tolerances regarding the test
Unless otherwise specified, the following tolerances apply:
——The tolerance of all forces shall be ±5% of the nominal force;
——The tolerance of all masses shall be ±1% of the nominal mass;
——For all dimensions less than 200 mm, the deviation shall be ±1 mm of the nominal dimensions; the deviation for other dimensions shall be ±0.5%; the dimensional deviation for 300 mm spherical radius of curvature in impact head (see 5.3.3) and loading pad (see 5.4.1) shall be ±5 mm;
——The deviation between the loading position of the loading pad and that of the impact head shall be ±5 mm.
Note: It is considered that the test results are not adversely affected if the tolerances mentioned above are met.
In the process of loading, the force value may be replaced by the mass of the weight. The relationship of 10 N=1 kg shall be used for conversion.
