1 Scope
This standard specifies the determination methods of dibutyl phthalate (DBP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP), diisononyl phthalate (DINP) and diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP) in textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries.
This standard is applicable to the determination of above six kinds of phthalates in textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

3 Principle
Extract the dibutyl phthalate, benzyl butyl phthalate, di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate, di-n-octyl phthalate, diisononyl phthalate and diisodecyl phthalate in the specimen in ultrasonic bath with trichloromethane or other proper solvent, and then determine the extractant with the gas chromatography-mass selective detector (GC-MSD) and quantify the characteristic ions with external standard method.
