1 Scope
This standard specifies the general specifications and technical requirements of water amusement equipments.
This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture, installation, reconstruction, maintenance, test, inspection and usage management of such water amusement equipments as water slides, recreation pools, whitewater rafting and pleasure boats.
This standard is not applicable to the boats with more than 6 passages but with specific personnel's operation.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Water amusement equipment
amusement equipment built depending on water, flow or other carriers for the purpose of recreation, such as recreation pool, water slide, waving equipment, whitewater rafting and pleasure boats
3.2
Water slide system
Consisting of structural support, departing platform, water slide, water supply system, catch unit (or catch pool) and means of delivery; it is the amusement equipment where the passengers slide along the internal surface due to themselves gravity and with water as the lubricating medium
3.2.1
Starting position
Area where passengers enter into water slide
3.2.2
Slide proper
Area where passengers slide along specific sliding surface
3.2.3
Final part
End of water slide, the inclination of which is less than 5%; the part for passengers' preparation of no sliding any more
3.2.4
Catch unit
One part of water slide for passengers' stop
3.2.5
Splashdown area
Water area where passengers slide out from slide track end and enter into cushioning and then stop
3.2.6
Side average inclination
Calculation formula X=H/L×100%
Where,
H——Height between the starting position and final part of water slide, (m);
L——Actual length of water slide, excluding the final part, (m)
3.2.7
Straight slide
The slide whose slide-track longitudinal-center-line horizontal projection is a straight line
3.2.8
Curve slide
The slide whose slide-track longitudinal-center-line horizontal projection is a curve
3.2.9
Tube
Slide whose cross section is a closed curve
3.2.10
Open waterslide
Slide whose cross section is a non-closed curve
3.2.11
Body waterslide
Slide where means of delivery are not used and passengers contract the slide track and then slide
3.2.12
Inner tube waterslide
Slide where passengers slide by using inner tube
3.2.13
Mat sliding waterslide
Slide where passengers slide by using subplate
3.2.14
Special waterslide
Other slides except straight slide and curve slide
3.2.15
Interactive aquatic play structur
Water amusement equipment consisting of various aquatic play facilities and water slides
3.3
Waving pools
Pools where waves are made forcibly with waving equipments
