GB/T 14251-2017 General technical standard for metal container of canned food
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, quality requirements, food safety requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation, storage requirements for metal container of canned food.
This standard is applicable to the food cans and full cans for canned food, which are made of tinplate or electrolytic chromium-coated steel (ECCS) or aluminum alloy plate.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

laminated steel
composite material with dual properties of polymer material and metal material, which is formed by bonding a layer of polymer film onto the surface of tinplate or ECCS through melting or adhesive method
3.2
laminated aluminum
composite material with dual properties of polymer material and metal material, which is formed by bonding a layer of polymer film onto the surface of aluminum alloy plate through melting or adhesive method
3.3
can body
container formed by combining a metal can body with a top or bottom end, or by stamping and drawing a whole metal plate
3.4
three-piece can
packaging container composed of metal top end, can body and bottom end
3.5
two-piece can
container formed by sealing a can body, which is formed by stamping and drawing of the bottom and body of the can with a whole sheet metal, and a metal top end
