"Test of Mechanical Properties of Furniture" (GB/T 10357) is divided into 8 parts:

- Part 2: Stability of Chairs and Stools;
- Part 3: Strength and Durability of Chairs and Stools;
- Part 4: Stability of Storage Units;
- Part 5: Strength and Durability of Storage Units;
- Part 6: Strength and Durability of Beds;
- Part 7: Stability of Tables;
- Part 8: Stability of Chairs with Tilting or Reclining Mechanisms when Fully Reclined, and Rocking Chairs.
This is Part 7 of GB/T 10357
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 10357 specifies test methods for the loading stability of table furniture.
This part is applicable to table furniture not being fixed to the ground, building, furniture, etc.
2 General Test Conditions
2.1 Specimen
The specimen shall be finished product and all the connecting pieces and fastening pieces shall be firmly installed in accordance with service state prior to test.
The specimen shall be tested at the most unstable table side; where the table side is ambiguous, it shall be determined through the test.
Where the specimen is accompanied with adjustable table plate, it shall be tested at the most unstable service state. Where the adjustable table plate is provided with multiple connecting modes, the most unstable one shall be shall be selected for connection. Where the table is installed with drawer, the drawer shall be closed and unloaded during the test.
