1 Scope
This part of GB 6067 specifies the basic safety requirements in aspects of design, manufacture, installation, reformation, maintenance, application, inspection, scrapping, etc. of the bridge and gantry cranes (hereinafter referred to as "crane").
This part is applicable to bridge cranes defined in GB/T 20776.
This part may also be used as a reference for other lifting appliances if it does not involve special issues in connection with basic safety.

3 Metal structures
3.1 General requirements
The relevant provisions in Clause 3 of GB 6067.1-2010 shall be met.
3.2 Metal structures
When the lower flange of the bearing structural member is used as the track of the crane trolley and its thickness is reduced to 10% of the designed thickness of the flange, it shall be scrapped if it cannot be repaired.
3.3 Materials
As for the cranes, the steel materials used for the bearing structural members shall comply with those specified in GB/T 3811-2008, 5.3.
3.4 Passage and platform
3.4.1 For cranes operated outdoors, measures shall be taken to prevent the water from accumulating on the passage and platform.
3.4.2 The tread of the passage and platform shall be skidproof.
