1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with a view to unifying the basic requirements, the corresponding design principles and methods of various wall materials used in the engineering, guaranteeing the wall engineering quality and achieving technical advancement, safety and usability as well as economy and rationality.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to wall materials used in the building engineering.
1.0.3 The wall materials used in the engineering shall not only meet those specified in this code, but also comply with those in the national current relevant standards.
2 Terms and Symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 Load bearing wall
Wall that not only bears various actions but also may serve as the enclosing structure.
2.1.2 Non-load bearing wall
Wall that not only bears self-gravity but also may serve as the enclosing structure.
2.1.3 Masonry unit
Solid (hollow) or perforated cubic bulk materials that are manufactured through firing or non-firing production process.
2.1.4 Wallboard
Various external walls used as the enclosing structure and various partition boards used to divide the indoor space.
2.1.5 Ready-mixed mortar
Wet-mixed mortar or dry-mixed mortar that is manufactured by the special manufacturer by means of mixing the cementing material, fine aggregate, mineral admixture and additives according to certain proportion.
2.1.6 Special mortar
Mortar that is used to improve the masonry strength and quality of certain masonry unit.
2.1.7 Grouting Concrete
Concrete that is used to grout the small hollow concrete block masonry's core column or holes in other parts required to be filled.
2.1.8 Bending strength
Arithmetic average of bending strength for masonry unit that is determined by standard test method.
2.1.9 Ratio of bending-compressive strength
Ratio of the bending strength grade of the masonry unit to its compressive strength grade.
2.1.10 Thin layer mortar
Mortar joint with thickness of the masonry mortar joint less than or equal to 5mm.
2.1.11 Heat transfer coefficient
Heat that is transferred through maintenance structure per unit area in unit time.
2.1.12 Average of heat transfer coefficient
The average heat transfer coefficient of the external wall when the influence on the beam, column (core column) is considered.
2.1.13 Heat mass coefficient of material
Ratio of the amplitude of the heat flow passing the surface to the amplitude of surface temperature when one side of the material is subject to the action of the harmonic heat.
2.1.14 Index of thermal inertia
Dimensionless index representing resistance of the enclosing structure against temperature fluctuation and heat flow fluctuation.
2.1.15 Dew point temperature
Dew point temperature is the temperature when the air temperature is gradually reduced under certain air pressure and the vapor in the air reaches the saturation condition and begins to condense as water drop.
2.1.16 Control joint
The construction joint arranged at the parts with relatively intensive wall stress or at those consistent with vertical mortar joint of the wall, which allows the wall to be subject to free deformation and to have sufficient resistance against the external force.
2.1.17 Belly wall of window
Wall segment between the windowsill of the external wall and the floor (or the indoor ground).
2.1.18 Waterproofing permeability
Performance that not only strengthens the air tightness and water tightness of the buildings but also discharges moisture in the enclosing structure and in the indoors.
