This Standard specifies technical requirements, packaging, marking, storage, transportation and sampling of the surface grease for steel wire ropes.
This Standard is applicable to the surface grease for steel wire ropes made of solid hydrocarbons of thickening mineral oil with high viscosity and with additives added.
Products which meet those specified in this Standard are possessed of good chemical stability, anti-rusting, water resistance, low temperature performance as well as lubrication and they are applicable to the sealing for safekeeping of steel wire ropes.
