1 Scope
This standard specifies the rain proof performance limit and test method for bus.
This standard is applicable to all kinds of passenger cars specified in GB/T 3730.1-2001 "Motor Vehicles and Trailers-Type-Terms and Definitions". Special car converted from passenger car and motor vehicle with cab and panel body may refer.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Rain proof performance for bus
Capacity for preventing rain from entering car enclosure of a passenger car located in stationary state with all the door, window and scuttle hatch closed under specified rain test condition.
3.2
Seep
Water appears slowly from gap and spread around along vehicle body interior surface.
3.3
Slow drop
Water appears from gap and departs in speed of 30 drops per minute or interrupted drops along vehicle body interior surface.
3.4
Drop
Water appears from gap and departs in speed of larger than 30 drops per minute and less than or equal to 60 drops per minute or interrupted drops along vehicle body interior surface.
3.5
Fast drop
Water appears from gap and departs in speed of larger than 60 drops per minute or interrupted drops along vehicle body interior surface.
3.6
Flow
Water appears from gap and departs or flow downward continuously along vehicle body interior surface.
3.7
Average raining intensity
Ratio of total water spraying volume capacity to the corresponding total spraying area of each nozzle at a certain raining surface in unit time (mm/min).
