1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, package, storage and safekeeping of the low-voltage electric harness for motor vehicles (hereinafter referred to as electric harness).
This standard is applicable to various electric harnesses for motor vehicles (including single-wire) with the nominal voltage less than 50v.

3 Terms and Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions and those in QC/T 417.1.
3.1 Main stem
The part that two or more than two wires in the electric harness are wrapped up together (as shown in Figure 1).
3.2 Lateral
The part that the end of the wire in the electric harness is unwrapped up or the single wire (as shown in Figure 1).
3.3 Embranchment point
The intersection between main stems or the intersection between the main stem and the centerline of the lateral in the electric harness(as shown in Figure 1).
3.4 Juncture
The connection point between wires (as shown in Figure 1).
3.5 Terminal
The general term of the connector and the joint.
3.6 Desiccation bound
The area in which the electric harness (being installed in the cab, the crew compartment and the luggage compartment etc.) needs no waterproof protection.
3.7 Damp bound
In addition to the desiccation bound, the area in which the electric harness needs no special waterproof protection.
3.8 SKT
The connection mode that the terminal connects with the wire conductor by piercing the wire insulation layer to achieve good electrical contacts and certain tensile strength..

4 Requirements
4.1 The electric harness shall meet the requirements in this standard and shall be manufactured according to the drawings and technical documents approved through the prescribed procedure.
4.2 The dimension of the electric harness shall meet the following requirements:
4.2.1 The length of the main stem and the protective sleeve pipe shall be more than or equal to 100mm and be the multiple of 10. e.g. 100mm, 110mm and 120mm.
4.2.2 The length of the lateral shall be more than or equal to 30mm.
4.2.3 The distance between junctures, between the juncture and the embranchment point shall be more than or equal to 20mm.
4.2.4 While it is required to install the insulation sleeve pipe in the connection between the wire and the terminal, the length of the insulation sleeve pipe shall be more than or equal to 20mm.
4.2.5 The basic dimension limit dev
