Slippers
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, after-sale quality judgment, test methods, inspection items and judgment, and inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of slippers.
This standard is applicable to casual slippers for daily wearing.
This standard is applicable to disposable slippers.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2703 and the following apply.
3.1
infant’s slippers
slippers with footwear sizing not greater than 170 for infants at or under 3 years
3.2
children’s slippers
slippers with footwear sizing larger than 170 but not greater than 250, for children of 3 to 14 years old
4 Product classification
4.1 Slippers may be classified into the following 5 categories by upper materials:
——Slippers with leather upper (including top layer leather and split leather);
——Slippers with fur upper;
——Slippers with synthetic (artificial) leather upper;
——Slippers with fabric upper;
——Slippers with upper made of other materials or mixed materials.
4.2 Slippers may be classified into the following 3 categories by the wearers:
——Infant’s slippers;
——Children's slippers;
——Adult’s slippers.
5 Requirements
5.1 General requirements
5.1.1 The safety indexes of infants’ and children’s slippers shall meet the requirements of GB 30585.
5.1.2 Marking shall meet the requirements of QB/T 2673.
5.1.3 Defects which affect wearing shall be avoided.
5.2 Appearance quality
Appearance quality shall meet the requirements of GB/T 36975-2018, 5.2.
5.3 Physical and mechanical properties (excluding infant’s slippers)
5.3.1 Peeling strength of upper
5.3.1.1 Only the close-toe slippers produced by adhesion process shall be subjected to the peeling strength test of upper, and this test may be omitted for the rest.
5.3.1.2 The peeling strength of upper shall not be less than 25 N/cm.
5.3.2 Pull-out force of upper bands
5.3.2.1 Slippers that are not suitable for testing the peeling strength of upper (e.g. slippers with the test part of sole bottom exceeding 25 mm in thickness, etc.) shall be subjected to the pull-out force test of upper bands.
5.3.2.2 Slippers made by sewing, affixing or riveting (including flip-flop) shall be subjected to the pull-out force test of upper bands. If the width of the upper strap is greater than 25 mm and it is not suitable for cutting the sample, the pull-out force test of the upper band may be omitted.
5.3.2.3 Once-forming slippers may not be subjected to the pull-out force test of upper bands.
5.3.2.4 For slippers made by cold bonding, sewing and affixing, the pull-out force of upper bands shall not be less than 80 N; for slippers made by riveting and other assembly process, such force shall not be less than 50 N.
5.3.2.5 If the material is torn, and the upper band at the adhesive part of the upper sole is not pulled out, the pull-out strength of the upper band shall not be less than 30 N/cm.
5.3.3 Abrasion resistance of outsole
5.3.3.1 Outsole made by natural leather, artificial leather, synthetic leather, and textile material (such as sewn cloth sole) may not be subjected to abrasion resistance test.
5.3.3.2 The length of the abrasion marks shall not be greater than 15.0 mm, and there shall be no worn through of the outsole.
