1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, requirements, testing conditions, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage and application guideline of metal zipper.
This standard is applicable to metal zipper (hereinafter referred to as "zipper") and not applicable to special zipper.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 18746 apply.
4 Classification
4.1 Zipper may be classified into finished zipper and chain zipper by type (see Figure 1).
4.1.1 Finished zipper may be classified into open-end zipper and close-end zipper; open-end zipper may be classified into single open-end zipper and double open-end zipper; close-end zipper may be classified into single-head close-end zipper and double-head close-end zipper; double-head close-end zipper may be classified into O-shaped close-end zipper and X-shaped close-end zipper.
4.1.2 Chain zipper refers to long zipper tape.
4.2 Zipper is classified into No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 7, No. 8 and No. 10 zippers by type (see Table 1).
