1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test method, inspection rule as well as marking, packaging, transport and storage of the frame for bicycles (hereinafter referred to as "Frame")
This Standard is applicable to the frames for ordinary bicycle, heavy-duty bicycle, portable bicycle, sports bicycle and electric bicycle specified in QB/T 1714.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this Standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 Frame size
The distance from bottom bracket center to rear joint or seat tube top.
3.2 The central datum plane of frame
The plane formed by head tube, top tube, seat tube, down tube or the component center line equivalent to this.
