1 Scope
This standard specifies general requirements, function requirements, performance requirements and installation requirements of vehicle terminals of GNSS system (hereinafter referred to as terminal).
This standard is applicable to terminal equipments installed at vehicle in the GNSS system for operating vehicle.

3 Terms, Definitions and Abbreviations
3.1 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply.
3.1.1
Firmware
It refers to the embedded software operating at the terminal microprocessor.
3.1.2
Electronic travel permit
It refers to electronic data including vehicle information and passenger and cargo information etc.
3.1.3
Continuous driving time
It refers to the sum of the driving time for the same driving personnel between adjacent and over 20min rest period.
Note: The rest time not exceeding 20min is deemed as the continuous driving time.
3.1.4
Monitoring center
It refers to the software platform for monitoring the vehicle transportation.
3.1.5
Sleep
It refers to a special state where the terminal keeps contact with monitoring center after fire failure of vehicle.
3.1.6
ACC
It refers to dedicated gear of vehicle steering lock with ignition switch.
3.1.7
Dial a cab
It refers to service mode to provide cab reservation or real time call for the passengers.
3.2 Abbreviations
The following abbreviations are applicable to this standard.
CAN-Controller Area Network (Controller Area Network).
4 General Requirements
4.1 Terminal composition
4.1.1 Host
Terminal host shall include microprocessor, data accumulator, satellite positioning module, vehicle state information collection module, radio communication transport module, real time clock and data communication interface etc., may include display, printer and card reader. If the display, printer and card reader do not included in the host, they may be listed as external equipment, but the host shall be reserved corresponding interfaces.
4.1.2 External equipments
The external equipments shall include satellite positioning antenna, radio communication antenna, emergency alarm push button, voice read installation, and may include communicator, function key, card reader, printer, display, equipments of vehicle operation state information display and information release etc., and acquisition equipment of information of image, video, audio, driver identity, electronic travel permit, logistics, operation, charge accounting, service assessment etc.
4.2 Appearance
Terminal appearance shall be free from rust, rusty stain, cracks, color fading, spot, deformation, key coating shedding as well as obvious scratch burrs; the plastic component shall be free from bubble, crack, deformation; the potting compound shall be free from overflow; structural parts and control unit module shall be integrate without mechanical damages.
