3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
permanent marking
marking capable of accurate identification throughout the full life cycle of parts and assemblies
3.2
integral method
method of making marking of parts in the forming process, including casting, forging, molding, heading, and stamping
3.3
press marking method
method of applying a certain pressure through type matrix, mold or roller, etc. to plastically deform the local materials of parts and assemblies to obtain the marking
3.4
carve method
method of engraving marking by hand or machine
3.5
vibro peen method
method of making marking on the marking position of parts and assemblies by vibration
3.6
controlled dot peen method
method of making marking with leakage type matrix by spraying abrasive through special equipment
3.7
electrolytic method
method of making marking via electrolytic corrosion of the marking part by making the parts and assemblies contact with the electrolyte soaked medium
3.8
hot press embossing method
method of making marking by printing colored characters on the parts and assemblies through a special metal foil with the help of a mold and an embossing machine
3.9
silk net method
method of making marking by printing on the parts and assemblies through silk net

3.12
cauterization method
marking method of printing characters on the parts and assemblies by photoengraving, and then electroplating or painting after corrosion
3.13
printing method
marking method in which the marking characters are made into a template and the characters are printed on the parts and assemblies using this template
3.14
enameling method
method of sticking or printing marking characters on porcelain parts and assemblies to be glazed and sintered at a high temperature to obtain marking
3.15
laser marking method
method of using a pulsed laser beam to force the material to move to obtain marking. It is divided into laser lattice method and laser scratching method
Laser lattice method: marking method of forming characters by ablating the surface of the processed part in dots following the trace of the character by a laser beam
