GJB 9100 consists of the following six parts under the general title Regulations for spacecrafts decommissioning:

1 Scope
This part specifies the work principle, content and implementation procedure for decommissioning of low earth orbit spacecraft.
This part is applicable to the decommissioning of low earth orbit spacecraft.

GJB 9100.1 Regulations for spacecrafts decommissioning — Part 1: General rules
3 Decommissioning work principle
The work principles for spacecraft decommissioning generally consist of:
a) preventing the long-term interference of decommissioned spacecraft to the low earth orbit area;
b) reducing the possibility of disintegration of decommissioned spacecraft;
c) avoiding the collision between decommissioned spacecraft and other on-orbit spacecraft during the decommissioning.
4 Decommissioning application
The decommissioning shall be applied in accordance with the requirements of GJB 9100.1.
5 Decommissioning implementation
5.1 Decommissioning technical scheme development

c) other assessments, to confirm whether the subsystem and the impacts of space environment meet the requirements.
5.1.3 Spacecraft status setting
Spacecraft status settings generally include:
a) status setting for spacecraft payload;
b) status setting for spacecraft platform.
5.1.4 Technical requirements for decommissioning
Technical requirements for decommissioning generally include:
a) orbit control requirements for spacecraft with orbit control;

5.2 Decommissioning implementation scheme development
5.2.1 Content of the decommissioning implementation scheme

a) the spacecraft user, together with the development department and the TT&C center, set the status regarding spacecraft payload before decommissioning;
b) the TT&C Center, together with the development department, set the status regarding spacecraft platform before decommissioning;
c) the TT&C Center organizes and implements the orbit control of decommissioned spacecraft;
d) the TT&C Center and the development department implement the spacecraft passivation;
e) the corresponding disposal plan shall be applied in case of abnormal conditions.
6 Decommissioning implementation effect evaluation
The evaluation items of decommissioning implementation effect generally include:
a) spacecraft users and development departments confirm the status regarding spacecraft payload;
b) the TT&C Center and the development department confirm the status regarding to the spacecraft platform;
c) the TT&C center carries out the conformity assessment for spacecraft orbit;
d) the development department and the TT&C center confirm the spacecraft passivation.
