Test methods for durability of fuel cell engine and its key components
1 Scope
This document describes the test methods for durability of fuel cell engine, fuel cell stack, membrane electrode, air compressor and hydrogen recirculation pump.
This document is applicable to a proton exchange membrane fuel cell engine for vehicle and its key components.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 24548 and the following apply.
3.1
average cell voltage
ratio of the voltage of a fuel cell stack to the number of cells in the fuel cell stack
Note: Cells in the fuel cell stack that do not output electric energy, if any, are not included in the above-mentioned number of cells.
3.2
reference current of fuel cell engine
current of fuel cell stack corresponding to the selected power point when a fuel cell engine is subjected to a steady-state characteristic test before the durability test
Note: PE is the rated power of the fuel cell engine (initial value), and the currents of fuel cell stack, I100, I50 and I10, corresponding to 100%PE, 50%PE and 10%PE of the fuel cell engine, are selected as the reference currents in this document.

reference current of fuel cell stack
current of fuel cell stack corresponding to the average cell voltage of 0.700V±0.005V in the initial polarization curve test in the durability test
3.4
hydrogen recirculation system
apparatus for circulating the fluid medium from the anode outlet to the anode inlet of a fuel cell stack
Note: It is generally formed by a single or multiple combinations of hydrogen circulation pumps and ejectors.
