This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/ T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
GB/T 5905 Cranes - Inspection and test code, GB/T 21457 Cranes and related equipment - Accuracy requirements for measuring parameters during testing, GB/T 22414 Cranes - Measurement of velocity and time parameters, GB/T 22415 Cranes - Requirements for test loads and GB/T 30025 Cranes - Measurement of the mass of a crane and its components constitute the national standard system of general test methods for supporting cranes.
This document is Part 1 of GB/T 5905 Cranes - Inspection and test code. The following part of GB/T 5905 has been issued:
——Part 1: General principle.
This document replaces GB/T 5905-2011 Cranes - Test code and procedures. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect GB/T 5905-2011:
a) The clause "Terms and definitions" has been added (see Clause 3 hereof);
b) The noise test requirements when necessary have been added [see 4.1d) hereof];
c) Test conditions have been modified, including addition of test load requirements, extreme environmental conditions, addition of instrumentation requirements, etc. (see Clause 5 hereof; Clause 5 of Edition 2011);
d) Visual inspection requirements have been modified, including addition of visual inspection items such as pneumatic equipment, safety signs and hazard pictorials (see 6.2 hereof; 4.2 of Edition 2011);
e) The name of qualification test and inspection has been modified to "Parameter measurement and performance verification", and the measurement of parameters such as load-lowering height, track tolerance, span, gauge, base distance, amplitude, effective cantilever extension distance and safe distance has been added and important welding quality detection and non-destructive detection methods when necessary have been added (see 6.3 hereof; 4.1 of Edition 2011);
f) No-load test and rated load test have been added (see 6.4.2 and 6.4.3 hereof);
Introduction
The quality and safety performance of crane products are related to the safety of people's lives and property. It is of great significance to verify the conformity and safety of their performance through tests. GB/T 5905 was originally the equivalent translation of international standard ISO 4310 Cranes - Test code and procedures, which is the basic test verification standard in the professional field of hoisting machinery in China. The test methods and requirements such as dynamic load test and static load test stipulated in the standard have become the basis for implementing load lifting test in the type test of hoisting machinery in China, and have become the test methods for developing various product standards and the fundamental standards for implementing product inspection and acceptance in China. For a long time, it has played an active role in improving the quality and safety performance of hoisting machinery products and reducing safety accidents of hoisting machinery.
In order to make the standard more operational, applicable and scientific, solve the problems existing in the implementation of the standard, better guide the test and inspection of cranes in China, and ensure the product quality and safety performance of cranes, it is necessary to revise this national standard. In this revision, combined with the needs of establishing and perfecting the test standard system of hoisting machinery and actual production, it is proposed GB/T 5905 Cranes - Inspection and test code consists of the following five parts:
——Part 1: General principle. The purpose is to stipulate the general principle of inspection and test codes for various types of cranes.
——Part 2: Mobile cranes. The purpose is to stipulate the special requirements of the inspection and test codes for mobile cranes.
——Part 3: Tower cranes. The purpose is to stipulate special requirements of the inspection and test codes for tower cranes.
——Part 4: Jib cranes. The purpose is to stipulate special requirements of the inspection and test codes for jib cranes.
——Part 5: Bridge and gantry cranes. The purpose is to stipulate special requirements of the inspection and test codes for bridge and gantry cranes.
