1 Scope
This Standard specifies method for determination of six kinds of carbamate pesticide residues in grains and vegetables.
This Standard is applicable to analysis for residues of tsumacide, MIPC, propoxur, carbonfuran, pirimicarb and carbaryl in grains and vegetables.
In this Standard, detection limits are 0.02, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05, 0.02 and 0.10mg/kg.
2 Principle
Nitrogen-containing organic compounds, after being separated by chromatographic column, have thermal decomposition on surface of heated alkali metal sheet to form cyanogen radical (CN*), accept electron from alkali metal (Rb) in atom state emitted from the heated alkali metal surface to become CN- and then combine with hydrogen atom. Alkali metal emitting the electron becomes a positive ion to be collected by the collector and is determined as a signal current, whose size is proportional to content of nitrogen-containing compounds. Quantify by comparison in peak area or peak height.
