Juvenile products — General requirements for daily sports protection articles
Warning: This document is not intended to cover all potential hazards that may exist in daily sports, and does not include the sports equipment itself and accidental injuries caused by irregular sports. The use of products that meet the requirements of this document does not exempt parents from the responsibility of accompanying supervision.
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, marking, and instructions for use of daily sports protection articles among juvenile products.
This document is applicable to the wearing protection articles that provide limited protection for infants and children aged 12 months to 12 years and weighing less than 60 kg during doing moderate to low intensity daily sports at home, in residential areas, playgrounds, parks and other places.
Note: The products involved in this document are for the purpose of cultivating the habit of using sports protection articles for infants and children, and providing limited protection while retaining the necessary sensory integration ability in daily sports and basic skill training, including but not limited to sports protection articles worn during running, playing, jumping, climbing, throwing, ball games, riding sports and simulated war games.
This document is not applicable to the following products:
— Protection articles for professional sports, including helmets for bicycles with a maximum saddle height of more than 435 mm, non-toy roller skaters and skateboarders;
— Protection articles for water sports;
— Protection articles for extreme sports;
— Corrective protection articles for sports;
— Toys or prop products for cosplay or do not provide physical protection.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
daily sports
non-professional sports carried out by infants and children of the right age in the environment of living, learning and activities, under the premise of ensuring physical and mental health
3.2
limited protection
limited degree of protection provided for infants and children during doing moderate to low intensity sports in daily sports and basic skill training, provided that in reasonable use scenarios, in a foreseeable and reasonable manner, under necessary adult supervision, and the necessary sensory integration is retained
