Electric vehicle wireless power transfer - Part 4: Limits and test methods of electromagnetic environment
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 38775 specifies the limits and test methods of electromagnetic environment inside and outside the electric vehicle under wireless power transfer.
This part is applicable to the stationary magnetic field wireless power transfer, wherein, the maximum rated voltage of the power supply is 1,000V AC or 1,500V DC, and the maximum rated output voltage is 1,000V AC or 1,500V DC. The primary device is erected underground or above ground.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.60-2002 and GB/T 38775.1-2020, as well as the following apply.
3.1
occupational exposure
exposure of individuals to electromagnetic field due to fixed or designated occupational activities. Under proper indication and after proper training, workers have known and voluntarily accept the influence of electromagnetic field

public exposure
exposure of the public to electromagnetic field other than occupational exposure and medical exposure. Generally, the public is exposed to electromagnetic field unknowingly

medical exposure
exposure of patients receiving medical diagnosis or approved medical treatment or volunteers in medical research to electromagnetic field
3.4
active implantable medical device
active medical device in human body, which is implanted partially or totally into the human body by surgery or medical treatment, or introduced into the natural orifice by medical invasion and remained in the body after operation
Note 1: In this part, it refers to implantable cardiac pacemaker, implantable cardiac defibrillator and cardiac resynchronization device.

current that flows through the human body or animal body when touching one or more accessible parts and components of a device or equipment

3.6
basic restriction
restriction determined for human tissues that may cause harmful effects, which shall strictly conform to all known biophysical interaction mechanism and are usually difficult to measure. As long as the basic restriction is not exceeded, it may be confirmed that no known acute harmful effects will occur
3.7
reference level
physical quantity introduced to facilitate actual exposure assessment, which is used to determine whether the basic restriction is exceeded. a value exceeding the reference level does not necessarily exceed the basic restriction, so it is necessary to determine whether it meets the basic restriction
4 General
4.1 Protection areas
The four protection areas are defined below, as shown in Figure 1:
a) protection area 1: the operating area for electric vehicle wireless power transfer, which ensures the normal operation of wireless power transmission and is not exposed to users. Protection area 1 is a space formed by the outlines of primary and secondary devices;
b) protection area 2: the transition area between protection area 1 and protection area 3;
c) protection area 3: the surrounding area of the electric vehicle, i.e., the front, back, left and right of the parking position of the vehicle;
d) protection area 4: interior of an electric vehicle (cabin).
Protection area 3 is subdivided into the following two areas:
——protection area 3a: the area less than 70cm from the ground;
——protection area 3b: the area 70cm or above from the ground.

4.2 Conformance to restriction
The following requirements for conformance to restriction shall be met:
——protection area 1 and protection area 2: the manufacturer should take reasonable measures, including:
control the active or passive access to protection areas;
carry out test and shutdown before entering the area with potential exposure as mentioned above;
make the exposure meet the electromagnetic field restriction for protection area 3a.
——protection area 3, protection area 4 and off-board power components: the touch current shall meet the restrictions in Table 4, and the electromagnetic field shall meet one of the following combinations:
basic restriction in Table 1 and magnetic field restriction in Table 3;
reference level in Table 2 and magnetic field restriction in Table 3.
