1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, test equipment, sample requirements, test procedures, evaluation and test report of the susceptibility to hydrogen gas embrittlement (HGE) for the test for determination of the susceptibility of metallic materials to HGE
This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the susceptibility of metallic materials to hydrogen gas embrittlement.

3.1.3 burst pressure
maximum pressure (gauge pressure) that the disk sample bears during hydrogen or helium pressurization
3.1.4 loading time
total time elapsed from the beginning of hydrogen or helium pressurization until the disk sample burst
