Paper Cup
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, rating and classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of paper cup.
This document is applicable to all kinds of paper cups except pulp moulded paper cups.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this specification, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
paper cup
cup-shaped paper container made of base paper by coating (wax) or doused (coated) film, or doused (coated) film and then combined with other materials, printing, cross-cutting, forming and other processes
Note: Printing is not a necessary process. If printing is not required, this process can be omitted.
3.2
paper cup for direct drinking liquid
paper cup in which liquids can be drunk without the need for other auxiliary tools
3.3
paper cup for packaging container
paper cup used as packing container for liquid and solid food, other auxiliary tools (such as spoons, straws, etc.) are needed to hold liquid food before drinking (eating)
4 Rating and Classification
4.1 Paper cups can be classified into superior products, first-grade products and acceptable products in terms of the quality grade.
4.2 Paper cups can be classified into paper cup for direct drinking liquid and paper cup for packaging container in terms of their functions.
4.3 Paper cups can be classified into cold drinking cups, hot drinking cups, ice cream cups, yogurt (milk) cups and solid food cups.
5 Requirements
5.1 Sensory indexes
5.1.1 The mouth and bottom of paper cups shall not sag and wrinkle; doused (coated) film layer, coating (wax) layer shall be uniform, cup body shall be clean without foreign matter.
5.1.2 The printing pattern of paper cups shall be clear in outline, uniform in color and without obvious color spots. The cups shall not be printed within 15 mm (excluding 15 mm) of the cup mouth. Capacity marks with total length not exceeding 10 mm can be printed within 15 mm (excluding 15 mm) of the cup mouth.
Note: The requirement of "shall not be printed within 15 mm (excluding 15 mm) of the cup mouth" is only applicable to drinking paper cups, but not applicable to paper cups for packaging container.
5.2 Capacity deviation
Capacity deviation of paper cups shall meet those specified in Table 1.

5.3 Physical properties
5.3.1 Leakage resistance of paper cup: the bottom and side shall not leak (liquid), seepage (liquid).
Note: Paper cups for solid food are not tested for leakage resistance.
5.3.2 The body stiffness of paper cup shall meet those specified in Table 2.

1 范围
本文件规定了纸杯的术语和定义、分级和分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输、贮存。
本文件适用于除纸浆模塑纸杯外的各种纸杯。

3 术语和定义
下列术语和定义适用于本文件。
3.1
纸杯 paper cup
纸杯原纸经涂布(蜡)或淋(覆)膜或淋(覆)膜后再与其他材料复合、印刷、横切、成型等工序加工而成的杯状纸容器。
注:印刷不是必备工序,如果不需要印刷可省去此工序。
3.2
直接饮用类纸杯 paper cup for direct drinking liquid
用于盛装液体,不需要其他辅助工具可直接饮用所盛装液体的纸杯。
3.3
包装容器类纸杯 paper cup for packaging container
作为液体、固体食物的包装容器,盛装液体食物时需配其他辅助工具(如勺、吸管等)方可饮(食)用盛装物的纸杯。
4 分级和分类
4.1 纸杯按质量分为优等品、一等品、合格品。
4.2 纸杯按功能分为直接饮用类纸杯和包装容器类纸杯。
4.3 纸杯按用途分为冷饮杯、热饮杯、冰淇淋杯、酸奶(乳)杯、盛装固体食品杯。
5 要求
5.1 感官指标
5.1.1 纸杯杯口及杯底不应凹陷、起皱;淋(覆)膜层、涂布(蜡)层应均匀,杯身应清洁无异物。
5.1.2 纸杯印刷图案应轮廓清晰、色泽均匀、无明显色斑,杯口距杯身15 mm(不含15 mm)内不应印
刷。总长度不超过10 mm的容量标线可在杯口距杯身15 mm(不含15 mm)区域内印制。
注;“杯口距杯身15 mm(不含15 mm)内不应印刷”的要求仅适用于直接饮用类纸杯,对包装容器类纸杯不适用。
5.2 容量偏差
纸杯容量偏差应符合表1的要求。
