Household food waste disposers
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of household food waste disposers (hereafter referred to as the appliance).
This document is applicable to household food waste disposers with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

food waste disposer
an appliance for treating waste food into fine particles and discharging them into sewers together with water
3.2
fineness
size of particles discharged after the test load is treated by the appliance
3.3
fineness percentage
mass fraction of grinding materials not reaching the specified fineness after treatment to the finished test load
3.4
grinding speed
test load mass treated per unit time
4 Product classification
By type of loading: continuous loading type and intermittent loading type.
