Static Roll Stability Test Method for Motor Vehicles
汽车静侧翻稳定性台架试验方法
1 Scope
This standard specifies static roll stability test method for motor vehicles.
This standard is applicable to automobile. Combination vehicle can refer to this standard.
2 Normative References
The following clauses quoted by this standard become the constituent part of this standard. The cited document with date and its later amending list(exclude mistake) or the revision are not situated in this standard; however, the parties arriving at an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to indagate whether to use the latest edition of these documents. The latest edition of the cited document without date fit this standard.
GB/T 1184 Shape and Position Tolerances Not Note of Tolerance Values ( GB/T 1184-1996 ; cqv ISO 2768-2 : 1989)
3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this standard.
3.1 Static roll stability
Static roll stability is its inherent resistive roll capacity where the automobile receives the side force on the static conditions
3.2 Roll angle
Roll angle is the included angle of the automobile wheel bearing plane and the horizontal plane where the automobile lurches along with the roll test bench
3.3 Maximum stable roll angle
The roll angle where the automobile lurches along with the roll test bench and the plane normal counter stress supported by one side wheels of the automobile reaches zero.
4 Measuring Instrument and Equipment
4.1 Measuring instrument accuracy
4.1.1 The wheel load gauge accuracy is no less than 1 %.
4.1.2 The gauging instrument accuracy is no less than 1 mm.
4.1.3 The angle measuring instrument accuracy is no less than 0.1°.
4.2 Roll test bench
4.2.1 The max. test bench surface heeling angle shall be able to be in accordance with the Static roll stability requirements of the measured automobile. The test bench surface inclined angle shall be able to adjust continuously between zero and the max. heeling angle and be fasten to arbitrary angle.
4.2.2 The test bench ought to revolve steady; the minimum ascending speed shall not be larger than 10°/min ; the minimum descent speed ( uniform speed ) shall not be larger than 27 °/min.
4.2.3 The test bench surface lateral adhesion coefficient is no less than 0.85.
4.2.4 The test bench flatness is no less than Grade D specified in GB/T 1184; the parallelism between the test bench surface and the center of rotation is no less than Grade 12.
4.3 Lateral spreads facilities
The method of installing side of the block on the roll test bench can be used to prevent vehicle sideslip in the Test; the chock block height is not greater than 30 mm, and the chock block only can be added on the unilateral wheel side of the test bench center of rotation.
4.4 Anti-rollover safety equipment
Specialized anti-rollover safety equipment are necessary to prevent side tumbling accident in the Test; restraining force from safety equipment to automobiles shall be zero without exception before automobiles reach rollover critical state.
