——the standard name is modified;
——the suffix letter K (for mines) is added to the steel grade;
——steel grades 15CrNi6K, 20MnNiCrMo32K, 20NiCrMo33K and 23MnNiCrMo53K are added;
——the product delivery state is modified and the method of finishing delivery is added;
——the relevant requirements of mechanical properties are modified;
——the corresponding indexes at common depths within (including) 50mm are supplemented for end hardenability inspection;
——the index of extra-fine steel is added for acid leaching macrostructure;
——the nonmetallic inclusion inspection items for steel are added;
——the inspection items for decarburized layer are added.
This standard was proposed by China Iron and Steel Industry Association.
This standard is under jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Iron and Steel of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 183).
The previous editions of this standard are as follows:
——GB/T 10560-1989 and GB/T 10560-2008.

4.3 Length and permissible deviation
4.3.1 Length
4.3.1.1 Generally, the round steel is delivered by fixed length which is noted in the contract. As agreed by both parties, short-length products with length less than the fixed length in the contract and not less than 3m may be delivered, with the total weight not greater than 10% of the total weight in the contract.
4.3.1.2 Where wire rods are delivered, each coil of wire rod is composed of one piece, and its coil weight and diameter are determined by the supplier according to the equipment conditions. Special requirements shall be determined through negotiation by the supplier and the purchaser.
4.3.2 Permissible deviation
Where the round steel is delivered by fixed length, the fixed length value generally defaults to the minimum length of the delivered product, and the permissible maximum positive deviation is +50mm; where the fixed length value is required to be the maximum delivery length, it shall be indicated in the contract, and the permissible maximum negative deviation is -50mm. The delivery length of short-fixed-length products is for reference only.
