Household and similar electrical appliances - Health technical specification
1 Scope
This document defines the relevant terms and definitions of household and similar electrical appliances related to health technology, specifies the general requirements, basic requirements and requirements for health protection functions, marking and instructions of household and similar electrical appliances related to health technology, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the design, production, inspection, use, installation, maintenance and repair of household and similar electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household electrical appliances").

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 18801, GB/T 21551 (all parts) and the following apply.
3.1
household and similar electrical appliances
electrical appliances that are used by non-professionals at homes, apartments and similar places (e.g., shops, light industry and farms) with a rated voltage of not greater than 250V for single-phase AC appliances and 480V for other appliances
3.2
electromagnetic field; EMF
field determined by four interrelated vectors, such as electric field intensity, electric flux density, magnetic field intensity and magnetic induction intensity, which together with current density and volume charge density, is used to characterize the electrical and magnetic states in a medium or vacuum

health protection function
functions such as air cleaning, eliminating bacterial, virus removal, antibacterial and antiviral of household electrical appliances in terms of human health
Note: The above functions achieved by chemicals are not included. Examples of chemicals: disinfectants, sterilizers, cleaning solutions, etc.
3.4
food contact materials and components
various materials and components that have come into or are expected to come into contact with food, or whose ingredients may be transferred to food, and inks, adhesives, lubricants, etc. that may come into direct or indirect contact with food under normal service conditions
Note: Drinking water treatment units as well as their materials and components are not included.

4 General requirements
During normal use and installation, maintenance and repair according to the instructions for use, the household electrical appliances shall not cause health-related hazards to human body, or the risk level of hazards shall be within the allowable risk range.
