1 Scope
This document specifies terms and definitions, general requirements, product safety requirements, marking and description requirements of household and similar electrical appliances, electrical parts of sporting goods and electric toys, as well as installation, maintenance and repair requirements for household and similar electrical appliances and electrical parts of sporting goods, and describes the corresponding verification methods.
This document is applicable to the design, production, inspection and use of household and similar electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances"), electrical parts of sporting goods and electric toys, as well as installation, maintenance and repair of household appliances and electrical parts of sporting goods.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 4706 (all parts), GB/T 19865, GB/T 31187 and the following apply.
Note: The terms "voltage" and "current" used in this standard refer to the root-mean-square values (r.m.s) unless otherwise specified.
3.1
household and similar electrical appliances
electrical appliances used by non-specialized person in home, apartment or similar places (e.g., shops, light industry and farms), their rated voltage being not more than 250V for single-phase AC appliances and 480V for other appliances
3.2
electrical parts of sporting goods
electrical parts of the products used in physical education, competitive sports and physical exercise, their single-phase rated voltage being not more than 250V, and other rated voltage being not more than 480V
3.3
electric toy
product designed or intended for children under the age of 14 to play with, which has at least one function requiring the use of electricity
Note: Transformer toys and power toys are within categories of electric toys.

rated current
current assigned to household appliances, electrical parts of sporting goods and electric toys by the manufacturer

3.5
qualified person
person who has received professional training, obtained professional knowledge and skills, and can identify the potential hazards of household appliances and electrical parts of sporting goods installed, repaired and maintained; or person with professional qualification

installation
complete activity of fixing, correct combination, connection and debugging of household appliances and electrical parts of sporting goods by qualified person according to the specific environmental conditions of users to realize the intended use functions
