1 Scope
This part of GB 30000 specifies the terms and definitions, classification criteria, judgement logics and labelling for chemicals of acute toxicity.
This part is applicable to the classification and labelling of chemicals of acute toxicity according to UN "Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals" (hereinafter referred to as "GHS").

3 Terms, Definitions and Abbreviations
For the purpose of this part, the following terms, definitions and abbreviations apply.
3.1
Acute toxicity
The acute adverse effects of a substance that result either from a single oral or dermal exposure or from multiple exposures in 24h, or from inhalation exposure of 4h.
